From early ages we became passionate about not only the sport, but the connection with the ocean and the great outdoors. We have started Surfing in the north coast of Portugal in the late 80’s, when surfing wasn’t very popular.
Since then we’ve been traveling around the world, looking for the best spots and soon we realized that, no matter how far we go, some of the world best surf spots are right in our “backyard”
Since 2008 we have received in our country many surfers and friends that our travels around the world gave us the privilege to meet , leading us to take a step forward in 2015, and created our own company that combined a team of soul surfers and experienced destination management company professionals.
As result of this Waves Republic was born as a Portuguese company created by Surfers for Surfers, who wish to know our beautiful Country and discover Portugal’s best surf spots and excellent locations.
